If you have ever done any background checking on people online, you would know how they work.  But for a first-timer, things are different and they end up believing what they see.  They fall for all the luring advertisements claiming to put the past of a person in front of them, and all for free.

For those that have never used backgroundchecks before, to be able to make a decision, you must first understand what these “free” services mean.

There are three types of free backgroundchecks online:

The first type are those that say they will provide the information for free and lure you to their website and when you search, they will bring back very basic information, like the name or number.  Then when you go to their extended search to get in-depth information, they ask you to pay.  They believe that once you are at that stage, you would want to go ahead and get all the information.

The second type are those that put up glorious advertisements, but when you sign up and search, they come back telling you that your records has been found and you will have to now pay up.

The third and the worst of the lot are those websites that do not provide any information and just get you to sign up to either send malware and spyware onto your computer or get you to download something.

This kind of deceptive marketing is what the so-called free services offering backgroundchecks provide.

As long as you understand what you are getting into with these free backgroundchecks, you will know that you are better off going with the paid and genuine sites.
